Cold process is the older, slower way to make soap, and the reason we use it is simple: heat destroys the delicate botanical oils that make a bar worth using. Cold processing preserves them, so the neem, coconut, and herbal extracts in each bar arrive on your skin intact. Every soap in this collection is handmade in Goa by this method: the Soap De Goa series with sensitive, charcoal, and exfoliating options, the dosha-specific bars (Vata for dry skin, Pitta for sensitive and mixed, Kapha for oily, Santulan for balanced), the all-skin-types purifying soap, and the baby and toddler bar. Cold process soap also retains its natural glycerin, which industrial soap-making typically strips out and sells separately, so each bar cleanses without the tight, stripped feeling that follows most commercial soap. 100% natural, no synthetic additives, made by the people who sell it.
