Respiratory support from two standardized extracts. Tulasi (holy basil) is the plant Indian households have reached for through seasonal congestion for generations, supplied here as a standardized extract rather than dried leaf powder. AV ASMO is our multi-herb respiratory formula. Both are made in our own GMP-certified Goa facility.
Which to choose
AV ASMO is the composed formula, and the one to start with if your interest is ongoing respiratory support through difficult seasons or difficult air. Tulasi is the single herb, gentler, suitable for continuous daily use, and the sensible choice if you want one familiar plant at a known dose or already take a multi-herb formula. Both can be taken together; Tulasi is mild enough that overlap is not usually a concern, but check the product pages.
About Tulasi
Holy basil occupies a place in Indian life that no other medicinal plant does: grown at the threshold of the house, used ritually, and reached for at the first sign of a cold in more or less every family. In the classical texts it belongs to the respiratory chapter, used for the chest and the breath, and it is classed as an adaptogenic herb in modern terminology. The reason we sell a standardized extract rather than leaf powder is simple: the leaf is wonderful and its potency is entirely dependent on where it grew, when it was picked and how it was dried. Standardization removes those variables.
How to take them
As stated on each product page, with water, consistently through the season rather than only on bad days. Respiratory support herbs are cumulative and work best taken ahead of the seasons that trouble you rather than during them. Six to eight weeks is a fair trial. What these are not
They are not asthma medication and not a substitute for an inhaler, and nothing on this page should change how you use anything you have been prescribed. Breathlessness, wheezing, chest pain, coughing blood or a cough that outlasts three weeks are medical matters and should be seen as such. What these formulations do is support ordinary respiratory function alongside proper care.
