SunVeda Natural Sun Protection
SunVeda SPF 20 SPA+ is our answer to a question most natural brands avoid: can sun protection be genuinely natural and genuinely protective? This lotion is built on botanical ingredients including aloe vera extract, formulated in our own Goa lab to protect skin from the harmful effects of sun exposure while supporting the skin itself rather than merely coating it.
Why SPF 20 rather than a bigger number
SPF is a measure of how much longer skin takes to burn, and the curve flattens fast: the jump from SPF 15 to SPF 30 is far smaller than the numbers suggest, and the jump from 30 to 50 smaller still. What actually determines whether a sunscreen protects you is whether you apply enough of it and whether you apply it at all, which is a question of texture and habit rather than a number on a bottle. SPF 20 suits daily Indian life, commutes, errands, balconies, school runs, the exposure that adds up invisibly, and it is light enough that people actually use it. A high-SPF formula left in a drawer protects nobody.
How to use it
Apply as the final step of your morning routine, after your emulsion or day cream and before makeup. Use more than feels natural: most people apply a third of the tested amount, which is why real-world protection routinely falls short of the label. Cover the ears, the sides of the neck and the backs of the hands, the three places people skip and dermatologists notice. Reapply every two to three hours of continuous outdoor exposure, and after swimming or heavy sweating.
Sun and ageing
Photoageing is the largest controllable factor in how skin ages, larger than any serum, cream or treatment you will ever buy. Pigmentation, loss of elasticity, texture change and the deepening of lines are driven substantially by cumulative UV exposure, most of it incidental rather than recreational. That makes sunscreen the least optional product in any routine and the one with the best return on its price.

Formulated and manufactured in our own GMP-certified Goa facility on standardized botanical ingredients, with no synthetic additives and every ingredient listed plainly on the product page. Sun protection is a category where opacity is common and consequences are permanent, so ours exists to show that choosing natural does not have to mean skipping the step that matters most.
