Natural Hair Conditioners

Three balsam conditioners, each matched to the shampoo doing the same job. Balsam Conditioning is the everyday option, softening and detangling without weighing hair down. Balsam Intensive Care works deeper, made for hair under visible stress from dryness, damage or hair fall. Balsam Protein rebuilds strength alongside the Protein shampoo, for hair that snaps and splits. All three are formulated on standardized botanical extracts in our own Goa lab.

How to choose

Start from the actual condition of your hair rather than the adjective on the front of a bottle. If your hair is broadly healthy and you want softness and easier combing, take Balsam Conditioning. If it is dry, chemically treated, colour-damaged or shedding more than it used to, take Balsam Intensive Care. If it snaps mid-length and splits at the ends, that is a strength problem rather than a moisture problem, and Balsam Protein is the one, paired with the Protein shampoo. Hair that is both dry and brittle can alternate: protein one wash, intensive care the next.

Why pairing with the matching shampoo matters

Washing lifts the cuticle, the overlapping outer scale layer of each strand. Conditioning closes it. The two formulations in a matched pair are built to that single sequence, with the conditioner correcting exactly what its shampoo opens. Mixing a clarifying shampoo with a light conditioner, which is what most bathrooms contain, leaves the cuticle half-shut, and half-shut cuticle is what frizz, dullness and tangling actually are. Pairing is not an upsell. It is how the chemistry was designed.

Using a balsam properly

Squeeze the water out of your hair first, because a conditioner applied to soaking hair is diluted before it lands. Work it through the mid-lengths and ends, not the scalp, which produces its own oil and does not need help. Leave it two to three minutes, longer for the intensive care version. Rinse cool if you can stand it. Once or twice a week is right for protein; the conditioning and intensive care versions can be used at every wash.

What is inside, and who made it

Every ingredient is named on the product page, at measured amounts, from a GMP-certified facility we own and operate in Goa. Most hair brands buy their formulations from a contract manufacturer and choose a fragrance. We have made ours since 1963, which is the difference this whole range is built on.
